Informed Solutions in the UK is seeking a GIS Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise geospatial platforms, APIs and cloud services for public and private sector clients.

You will work with senior engineers, data scientists and delivery managers in a dynamic, agile environment, contributing to architecture and high-quality digital services while advancing your expertise in GeoAI and Earth Observation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ proven experience in a GIS Software Engineering role with strong .NET, Java or Python and modern JavaScript libraries.
• Experience designing scalable geospatial applications using AWS or Azure.
• Experience working with GIS platforms, geospatial data and spatial APIs.
• Knowledge of PostGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers, Leaflet, GDAL or QGIS.
• Experience with geospatial apps integrating cloud platforms, AI and Earth Observation data.
• Understanding of microservices, APIs, serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban and TDD.
• Strong collaboration and communication in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enterprise geospatial software platforms, APIs and cloud infrastructure for analytics and location intelligence.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, geospatial specialists and delivery managers to shape architecture and delivery.
• Follow standards, provide accurate estimates and raise risks when needed.
• Present prototypes and progress updates to stakeholders and partners.
