Job summary

Informed Solutions is seeking a GIS Architect to drive the architecture and technical direction for enterprise GIS solutions across public sector projects in the UK. You will shape scalable, secure geospatial services and lead cross-disciplinary teams in delivery and improvement.

You will influence technology choices, champion best practices, and collaborate with clients to translate needs into robust GIS solutions, leveraging both open-source and commercial platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering enterprise GIS and geospatial solutions.
• Cloud-native architectures using AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of GIS platforms and open-source geospatial tools.
• Experience integrating geospatial services into enterprise applications.
• Experience in Agile delivery and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Shape end-to-end GIS-enabled architectures aligned with client goals.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Design enterprise GIS solutions using GIS platforms and APIs.
• Collaborate with Engineers, PMs, UX, Data Science and stakeholders.
• Establish architectural standards, governance and security practices.
• Advise on technology strategy and emerging tools.
• Support client engagement through workshops and proposals.
