Job summary

Informed Solutions is seeking a GIS Architect to shape the architecture of innovative digital solutions for public sector clients across the UK. You will lead the design of enterprise-scale geospatial services, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide technical direction through discovery to delivery.

The role emphasizes selecting the right tools, open-source GIS technologies, cloud platforms, and secure, scalable solutions, with hybrid working from multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise GIS and geospatial solutions.
• Proficient in cloud-native architectures and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of GIS platforms, data management and open-source geospatial tools.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end GIS-enabled architectures aligned to client goals.
• Provide technical leadership across the software lifecycle.
• Architect solutions leveraging GIS platforms and open-source tech.
• Collaborate with engineers, delivery managers, design and stakeholders.
• Establish standards, governance and quality across delivery teams.
• Advise clients on technology choices and architectural approaches.
• Support client engagement through workshops and proposals.
