Culina is recruiting for a General Warehouse Operative to join our chilled distribution operation in Tilbury. The role is full-time, 4 on 4 off days, based in a temperature-controlled warehouse at about 3°C, with forklift duties and orderly stock movement.

Along with a base salary up to £34,380.34 per year, a site bonus of up to £5,500 per annum (£2.50 per hour) and free transport from Tilbury Town Station are part of the package; candidates should have a D1/D2 Reach FLT licence and be safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a large-scale warehouse environment.
• D1/D2 Reach FLT Licence is essential (in-house licences considered).
• Comfortable in a chilled, temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Able to work to KPIs and targets in a fast-paced setting.
• Good communication and numerical accuracy.
• Able to meet tight deadlines.

Full Time Permanent Role

We’re looking for experienced General Warehouse Operative to join our busy chilled distribution operation. You’ll play a key role in keeping stock moving safely and efficiently across a fully palletised warehouse environment.

This is a great opportunity for reliable, safety-conscious MHE / FLT Reach Drivers who are confident working in a fast-paced warehouse and take pride in accuracy, teamwork and high standards.

The role is based within our chilled warehouse, operating at approximately 3°C, so you'll need to be comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll play a key role in keeping our customer orders moving safely, accurately and on time.

Your day will include:

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently in a palletised storage and distribution environment.
• Pick stock and orders from set locations within the chilled warehouse.
• Load and unload wagons or containers in line with site procedures.
• Scan pallets accurately into the correct locations and complete all tasks fully.
• Move, organise and handle goods carefully to maintain product quality and condition.
• Support the smooth flow of stock throughout the warehouse operation.
• Carry out equipment checks and report any faults, damage or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow site safe systems of work, including PPE, walkways and designated areas.
• Work closely with Team Leaders, colleagues and shift teams to ensure clear handovers and operational priorities are met.

What we're looking for:

• Experience working in a similar warehouse environment is advantageous
• D1 or D2 Reach FLT Licence and experience is essential for this role (In-house licences from previous employers can be considered, provided you have relevant practical experience)
• Comfortable working in a chilled warehouse environment.
• Confident working to targets and KPI standards in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong verbal communication and numerical accuracy.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines and targets.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Can work on a 4 on 4 off shift Pattern
