Job summary

The GP post is based at The Flying Scotsman Health Centre, one of the surgeries run by Operose Health, a primary care provider operating at scale. The role focuses on clinical consultations in person and via video, with telephone triage, results, and medication reviews.

It is sessional with 4 to 9 sessions per week and includes safeguarding lead duties and input to the surgery's operational plan. Applicants must hold GMC registration, NHS performers list entry, and GP accreditation.

Qualifications

• GP accreditation or equivalent experience.
• Current GMC registration.
• Entry on the NHS performers list.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to registered patients in line with GMC standards.
• Conduct in-person and video consultations, triage by phone, and clinical results handling.
• Carry out medication reviews, prescription signing and other clinical admin tasks.
• Collaborate with clinical leads to deliver the surgery's operational plan.
• Engage in clinical governance, audits, and contribute to QOF and CQC standards.
• Act as safeguarding lead.
• Complete medicals, reports and home visits.
• Attend surgery meetings and cover on-call duties (not out-of-hours).
• Support the practice manager and site clinical lead on the surgery action plan.
