Job summary

Transformation Unit is seeking an NHS Band 2 porter for Eastbourne, working full time on a 37.5 hour week with a 12-hour shift pattern covering days and nights on a 3-week rolling roster. Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our portering team at Eastbourne Hospital . This is a position working 12 hour shifts, days and nights.

A porter within a busy acute hospital setting will carry out many responsible duties. The main role and responsibilities are to move patients around from wards and departments such as X-Ray, CT, MRI, A&E.

Main duties of the job

Porters also attend fire calls, Emergency calls, Resus calls to assist the clinical teams, medical gasses and helicopter landings. This is a varied jobs role which the successful applicant will be required to be in good physical health.

A Trust induction and full training will be given.
