Job summary

Mears Group in Ealing is seeking a General Operative to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. This permanent, full-time role covers a 42.5-hour week (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm) with an annual salary up to £38,202.50, working to keep properties in excellent condition.

You will perform mould washes, install fixtures, paint walls, fix minor plumbing, replace lights and ensure safety standards. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out mould washes.
• Install fixtures such as curtains, blinds and door handles, with basic maintenance experience.
• Carry out painting and decorating tasks with strong organisational skills.
• Fix leaking waste pipes and perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Replace light bulbs and check smoke alarms, maintaining safety standards.
• Support cleaning and waste collection duties (training provided), with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Collaborate within the Repairs and Maintenance team.
• Deliver excellent customer service across tasks with a professional, customer-focused attitude.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and residents using clear verbal communication and good interpersonal skills.
• Make decisions and solve problems independently when needed, showing confidence and initiative.

General Operative position in Ealing. Annual salary up to £38,202.50. Permanent, full-time role of 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Pyramid Plus is a joint venture between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, delivering repairs, maintenance, compliance, planned replacements, and fire risk assessment works for a large portfolio of homes.

This role is a hands-on position within the Repairs and Maintenance team, combining practical work, customer service, and teamwork to maintain properties to a high standard.

Role Responsibilities
