Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited in the United Kingdom seeks a General Manager – Manufactured Joinery to lead a bespoke joinery production and drive sales across the range.

You will manage the internal team, oversee daily manufacturing operations, plan labour and material needs, visit sites when required, and ensure high-quality delivery while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Management experience in the building supplies industry.
• Experience in merchant, trade, timber, joinery or furniture environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• General Manager responsible for managing the internal team, day-to-day manufacturing activities and driving sales across the bespoke joinery product range.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Lead, support, and motivate production managers, team leaders and site staff, ensuring strong team performance.
• Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment while monitoring budgets and performance.
• Act as a main client contact, handling queries and resolving issues professionally.
• Maintain systems, health & safety standards, and continuously improve processes and ways of working.
• May be a requirement to visit site when needed.

The role of the General Manager – Manufactured Joinery will involve:

• General Manager position responsible for managing the internal team, day-to-day manufacturing activities and driving sales across the a bespoke joinery product range
