Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Joinery Manager to join an established and growing specialist contractor based in Somerset.
The business delivers high-quality architectural joinery, bespoke cabinetry and specialist timberwork across heritage buildings, high-end residential properties and complex refurbishment projects.
This is an opportunity for someone with extensive joinery experience to take ownership of a growing operation, overseeing projects from initial enquiry and estimating through to manufacture, installation and completion.
You'll work closely with an experienced Workshop Manager and wider management team, helping coordinate the existing workload while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
As Joinery Manager, you'll oversee the commercial, technical and operational aspects of multiple joinery projects, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards while maintaining programme and profitability.
You'll manage new enquiries, meet clients and architects, review drawings and specifications and prepare estimates and quotations for bespoke joinery packages.
Working alongside the Workshop Manager, you'll coordinate production schedules, procurement and installation activities, ensuring the correct materials, information and resources are available throughout each project.
You'll also monitor costs, manage client relationships and identify opportunities to improve processes and develop the business further.
You are an experienced joinery professional with a strong technical understanding of architectural joinery, cabinetry and specialist timber manufacturing.
Ideally, you'll have previously managed a joinery business, department or substantial workshop operation, with experience across estimating, project coordination and commercial management.
You'll be confident interpreting technical drawings, understanding manufacturing processes and managing projects from initial enquiry through to installation.
You may currently be a Joinery Manager, Production Manager, Contracts Manager, Senior Estimator or someone who has previously operated their own joinery business.
You'll be commercially aware, organised and confident dealing directly with clients, architects and contractors.
A full UK driving licence is required.
You'll be joining an established specialist contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality craftsmanship across heritage, refurbishment and premium residential projects.
The business works with private clients, architects, designers and established organisations throughout the South West, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques.
