Job summary

Americold is recruiting a General Manager for our Spalding site to lead a large-scale logistics and warehouse operation. You will own daily performance, drive service, safety, and cost targets, and develop a high-performing team across warehousing, transport, and fulfilment.

You will implement Lean Six Sigma initiatives, manage a significant P&L, and collaborate with HR, Engineering and Business Development to align operations with customer expectations and business goals. Travel as required.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in transport and warehouse management.
• Minimum 5 years in senior leadership or general management within a logistics or warehouse environment, ideally in temperature‑controlled operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, drive performance, and develop talent.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements, preferably using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong operational and financial acumen, with ability to analyse performance and implement improvement plans.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
• Willing and able to travel as required.

• Develop teams, enforce standards, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
