Job summary

Americold Logistics, LLC. is recruiting a General Manager for our Spalding site to lead a large-scale logistics and warehouse operation. You’ll drive reliable, safe, and cost-efficient service for customers, manage a significant P&L, and build high-performing teams across warehousing, transportation and fulfilment.

You’ll champion Lean Six Sigma, develop talent, and partner with cross-functional teams to align operations with business goals and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in transport and warehouse management within logistics or warehouse environments, ideally temperature-controlled.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, drive performance and develop talent.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements, preferably Lean Six Sigma.
• Strong operational and financial acumen with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across the facility to meet service, safety and cost targets.
• Develop teams, enforce standards, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, labour regulations and safety policies; track performance metrics.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve process flow and efficiency.
• Collaborate with HR, Engineering and Business Development to align operations with goals.
• Coach supervisors and frontline managers to build capability and retention.
• Act as the operational point of contact for key customer accounts and contracts.
