Job summary

The Lost Boy in Farnham, part of Upham Inns, seeks an experienced General Manager to own the operation, lead a high-performing team and grow the pub’s reputation for great food, warm hospitality and memorable guest experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring up to 48 hours per week including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with a competitive package of up to £50,000 per year plus bonus and a share of tronc up to £5,000.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General Manager of Gastro pub for at least 1 year
• Proven ability to drive guest service to the highest levels
• Strong leadership to foster teamwork and company vision
• Passion for hospitality and high standard of service
• Motivated, proactive and reliable

Responsibilities

• Manage the pub in line with company procedures and brand standards
• Lead training, coaching and development of the team
• Engage with local community to build repeat business
• Inspire a culture of great food and service
• Oversee health and safety, fire procedures and audits
• Ensure DPS license standards are met and stock use is controlled
• Prepare rosters 2 weeks in advance aligned with labour budgets
