Job Title: General Manager

At GXO, we are seeking a General Manager to lead our warehouse operation in Peterborough. You will oversee an experienced team and be responsible for the operational and commercial success of the site.

This is a full-time, permanent role. While your contract will be for Monday - Friday, please note that this is a 24/7 operation, requiring flexibility in working hours as logistics can vary.

Pay, Benefits, and More:

You will receive a salary of up to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), with options to purchase additional days. Typical Daily Responsibilities:

• Manage budgets, ensuring contract KPIs and financial targets are met, and contribute to quarterly cost budgets.
• Serve as the primary contact for the customer, developing and maintaining strong relationships through regular reviews.
• Design and implement reporting systems for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop your team, overseeing all HR processes during employee lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a senior management role within a similar environment, working with high-profile clients.
• Understanding of commercial mechanisms and P&L management, with a track record of delivering costs and KPIs.
• Experience building strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of legal and audit compliance requirements for large distribution centers.
