General Manager – Multi-Site Manufacturing

Are you a commercially-minded manufacturing leader with a track record of growing operations, developing teams, and delivering results across complex multi-site businesses?

We’re supporting an established and fast-expanding group of companies in their search for a General Manager to lead daily operations across multiple UK sites.

This is a high-impact leadership role with serious scope—reporting to the Group Board, working cross-functionally with Directors, and overseeing everything from production and supply chain to people and performance.

This is about more than keeping things ticking. You’ll be driving change, sharpening commercial performance, and building a culture that wins.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking full P&L ownership and operational accountability across several UK manufacturing sites
• Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing cross-functional team
• Implementing continuous improvement strategies to boost efficiency, reduce waste and cut costs
• Building a robust structure to support long-term growth and operational scale
• Ensuring the business meets all regulatory, quality and environmental standards
• Supporting the commercial function with market insight, customer satisfaction, and business development strategies
• Driving organisational change, culture and capability development across the business

What We’re Looking For

• A proven General Manager, Site Director or Operations Director with a background in manufacturing
• Experience operating at scale—leading £20m+ revenue businesses and managing large teams
• Commercial awareness, a hands-on leadership style, and confidence in driving strategic and cultural change
• Strong understanding of lean principles, process optimisation and cost control
• Someone who can spot opportunities, get under the skin of a business, and deliver fast, visible improvements
• Someone who can lead with empathy, build trust, and develop talent across all levels
