Job summary

Butlin's in Bognor Regis is seeking a Resort General Manager to lead a large-scale, guest-focused operation. You will be accountable for retail revenue across the resort and drive day-to-day retail operations in a multi-functional environment, ensuring consistency and profitability while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strategic planning, budget management, payroll, and NPS focus, with responsibility for resort operations in the absence of the Resort Director.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate General Manager to join our Bognor Regis Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the experience and drive to successfully run a large scale, guest focused operation.

The General Manager will be accountable for all revenue generating retail activity across the resort (e.g. anything guests don’t book prior to their arrival).

The driver of retail operations on resort on a day-to-day basis, the General Manager will drive consistency in multi-functional departments focusing on retail and revenue generating activity.

Accountable for the development of people, maximising profits, and delivery of the guest experience to the highest level, the role is also responsible for setting strategic direction across the retail offering on resort.

As the General Manager, you will also be accountable for all resort operations in the absence of the Resort Director.

About You

We are looking for an individual with substantial experience in a similar level operational role. This would be a perfect opportunity for an existing General Manager looking for a new challenge, or for a Senior Manager or Area Manager with broad experience in the hospitality, leisure or retail industry who is looking for their next step.

Our resorts are large operations and we have around 1400 team and around 6000 guests at any one time, so experience in large scale operations are essential.

You should have strong leadership experience with the ability to influence your direct leadership team, and their wider teams, to make sure that we are all working in the same way and to the same objectives, always with our guests at the forefront of our decisions.

You should have solid experience in strategic planning, budgets, payroll and NPS as these are regular focus points for our leadership teams on resort. You will also have strong experience in compliance and process management.
