Job Description:
Job Objectives and Responsibilities:
- The role involves completing planned and reactive maintenance and monitoring of all prison fabrics within scope. Tasks must be performed in compliance with Company Safety Policy, Procedures, relevant Codes of Practice, NR, and Statutory Regulations, ensuring adherence to the Company's and Clients' Permit to Work Systems.
- Completing Planned Preventive Maintenance and Helpdesk tasks to ensure contract compliance, while maintaining SHE standards.
- Liaising with engineers and subcontractors, developing a detailed knowledge of the site engineering services, and understanding contractual requirements from the engineering brief.
- Supporting the development and communication of best working practices. Accurate and timely completion of all work-related documentation, coordinating connections to existing plant/systems, and effectively using and maintaining O&M Manuals and quality procedures are required.
- Availability for scheduled and unplanned weekend work is necessary. Compliance with company and statutory regulations related to safe systems of work, health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and fire regulations is mandatory.
- The site operates 24/7, and the engineering team is expected to work on a shift rota, including out-of-hours call-out duties.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess at least one of the following certificates: Apprenticeship or equivalent, IOSH or equivalent, C&G/BTEC Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering Parts 1, 2, and 3, NVQ Level 3 in multi-skilled engineering, C&G 2079 F Gas or equivalent, HVAC or gas-related qualification, or C&G 2391/2 18th edition IEE regulations.
- Previous relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a large complex environment is essential. Basic to intermediate IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, are required, along with experience in updating central data systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and self-motivation are also necessary.
