Job summary

ECG Facilities Services is recruiting for a multi-skilled maintenance technician to support M&E maintenance across sites in the UK. The role covers painting, tiling, basic plumbing, carpentry, water hygiene tasks and general fault reporting, with a company vehicle provided for on-site work.

The ideal candidate will have trade training or relevant maintenance courses, be comfortable with logbooks and CAFM systems, and hold a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of basic plumbing maintenance.
• Understanding of tiling and carpentry.
• Demonstrable handyman skills.
• Ability to meet health and safety obligations during maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating tasks as required.
• Tiling tasks.
• Minor plumbing and leak detection work.
• Basic carpentry duties.
• Water hygiene tasks.
• Replacing door handles and doors.
• Keep logbooks up to date and use CAFM system.
• Identify faults and report them promptly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Painting & Decorating
• Tiling
• Minor plumbing/leak detection
• Basic Carpentry
• Water Hygiene tasks
• Replacing door handles / doors
• Keep logbooks up to dateUnblocking sinks/toilets
• Changing lamps
• Proactively identifying and reporting faults
• Keeping a PDA up to date through our CAFM system and clients

Skills & Qualifications Required

Knowledge & Understanding

• A good working knowledge of basic plumbing maintenance.
• A good understanding of tiling and carpentry.
• Must be able to show good handyman skills.
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
• Full and clean driving licence (vehicle provided)

Qualifications

• Evidence of relevant trade training or maintenance‑related courses
