Job summary

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join Barnes Farm Primary School on a fixed term, 39-week contract. The role is 16.25 hours per week, mornings, with a focus on supporting pupils including those with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work within a supportive team and follow direction as well as use initiative. Applicants should have experience in a school setting, strong behaviour management, and be willing to undertake training to

• Experience of supporting children in a school setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Able to support the child's medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs.
• Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs.
• Patience, calmness and flexibility at all times.
• Commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves.
• Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills.
• Good knowledge of ICT.
