BaxterStorey is actively seeking a General Assistant in Wakefield to support catering and hospitality operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day service and customer satisfaction. You will assist with food prep, service, and stock management while maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven hospitality experience and guest service emphasis.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation in line with company standards and health and safety rules.
• Support kitchen and service teams during busy periods, showing flexibility and proactive attitude.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including washing up, stock rotation and tidying.
• Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, take orders and handle basic cash transactions.
• Drive round site to fill vending machines with stock and monitor usage.
