BaxterStorey is hiring a General Assistant/Vending Operative for our Wakefield location. You will support catering and hospitality operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards of food safety. The role involves assisting with food prep, serving customers, handling till tasks, and maintaining stock and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, catering or food service (desirable).
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, plating and presentation per company standards and health regulations.
• Support kitchen and service teams during busy periods with flexibility and proactivity.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including washing up, stock rotation, and tidying.
• Serve customers in a friendly, professional manner; take orders and address queries; handle basic till transactions.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
