Job summary

KLONDYKE GROUP LIMITED is seeking a General Retail Assistant to join our team at the Houghton Hall Garden Centre. This full-time permanent role involves delivering friendly, helpful service while working 41.5 hours per week over five days, including weekends.

You will handle till operations, assist customers, maintain stock and displays, and help with housekeeping. We value a positive attitude, teamwork and flexibility. Benefits include staff discounts, 6 weeks’ annual leave and free parking.

Job description

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Retail Assistant to join the team in our Houghton Hall Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range is dependent on age.

The hours for this position are 41.5 hours per week over 5 days including regular weekend shifts so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a General Retail Assistant, you have a responsibility to provide excellent customer service, creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers helping them to make informed purchases.

What you will be doing as a General Retail Assistant?

• Till operation and serving customer
• Stock replenishment and merchandising across all department
• Creating and maintaining fabulous product displays
• Assisting our customer across the Centre taking every opportunity to WOW.
• Carry out cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
• Collecting trolleys and shopping baskets
