Job summary

Tarvin Primary School is seeking a General Administration Assistant to join the administration team on a part-time basis. The role is 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only, excludes INSET days), with an actual salary of £11,822 p.a. pro-rata of £26,016 full-time.

You will provide administrative support across attendance, finances, reception, reprographics, and co-ordination of Educational Visits. Training for First Aid is provided; SIMS experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Proven administrative experience and strong organisation skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
• Experience with SIMS is desirable but training will be provided.

Tarvin Primary School, is seeking to make the above appointment to the school’s administration Team.

The successful applicant will provide administrative support for the school including the following areas:

General Administration working alongside an experienced colleague:

• Attendance and financial administration
• First Aid administration (training would be provided)
• Reception/Post/Reprographics
• Educational Visits Co-Ordination
• As we are a small school this role would also incorporate up to one hour playground supervision each day

The successful applicant will have excellent administrative and organisation skills, be a team player and have knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of SIMS (Schools Information Management System) would be desirable but not essential as training would be provided. The working hours for this role will be spread over five days. There would be some morning and some afternoon shifts.
