Job summary

Google is seeking a Manager of GenAI Forward Deployed Engineering in London to lead engineers bridging frontier AI products with production-grade deployments directly within customer environments.

You will mentor a technical team, coordinate with Product, Engineering, and Google Cloud Regional Sales leadership, and drive production-ready, enterprise-grade AI solutions across client environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering/CS.
• 8 years in sales engineering or technical consulting in cloud computing, customer-facing.
• 2 years leading a software engineering or technical customer-facing team in cloud.
• Experience with Python or similar coding language.
• Experience developing AI/GenAI solutions, multi-agent workflows, or RAG systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead, establishing code standards and architectural practices.
• Partner with Sales and Tech Leadership to define requirements for high-value opportunities and deploy specialists to key accounts.
• Lead technical hiring for FDE, evaluating AI/ML expertise and systems engineering.
• Identify skill gaps in MCP, tool-calling and foundation models to maintain expertise in AI stack.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to resolve blockers and build internal tools.
