Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Backend Engineer to build scalable GenAI infrastructure for enterprise customers. You will design and implement core services, APIs, and distributed systems that power production grade GenAI workflows across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.

You will collaborate with ML and product teams to deploy AI models, optimize performance, and ensure reliability in enterprise settings. Prior experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing large-scale backend or infrastructure systems.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript with high-performance API design.
• Deep familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and Kubernetes/Docker.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data pipelines.
• Hands-on GenAI applications, model integration, or AI agent systems.
• Strong observability, CI/CD, and security practices for enterprise environments.
• Ability to balance rapid iteration with production-grade quality.
