Job summary

Prospero Teaching is hiring a part-time tutor to work with vulnerable and disengaged learners in Burnley, delivering 1:1 or small-group sessions at pupils' homes or in the community. The role requires flexibility to match family timings and to create engaging, tailored lesson plans for KS3/KS4 to boost attainment.

Applicants should have QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience, with a patient, creative approach and a willingness to work with SEND students. DBS check and references are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3/KS4.
• Plan and prepare engaging, differentiated sessions.
• Support and monitor student progress and engagement.
