Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated tutor in Wigan to support vulnerable, disengaged learners. You will create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 and raise engagement and attainment.

The role involves working in pupils’ homes or community settings with flexible hours. A QTS or tutoring experience is preferred, and candidates should be committed to SEND support and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Creative, patient and adaptable.
• Experience with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge KS3/KS4 gaps.
• Plan and deliver engaging sessions in home or community settings.
• Support vulnerable learners to raise engagement and attainment.
• Adapt approaches to individual pupil needs.
