Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor in Wigan to support vulnerable and disengaged students. You will create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education, aiming to raise engagement and attainment.

The role offers flexible, part-time hours with start date ASAP and ongoing duration, working within the community or pupils' homes to support individual needs.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education.
• Support vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk pupils to boost engagement and attainment.
• Provide academic guidance and support in a one-on-one or small-group setting.
