Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a GCSE English and/or Maths tutor to support students in the BH14 area through personalised 1:1 tuition. You will work on behalf of Local Authorities, delivering tailored lessons to learners needing alternative educational provision. Flexible hours and competitive pay reflect your experience and subject focus.

We welcome tutors who can cover GCSE English, GCSE Maths, or both, with a focus on building confidence, closing gaps, and boosting engagement with education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' tuition or teaching experience.
• Experience teaching GCSE English and/or GCSE Maths.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons.
• Strong subject knowledge in your specialist area.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; or willingness to travel locally within BH14 area.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1 GCSE tuition to students.

Support Students Working Towards GCSE Success

We're looking for a GCSE Tutor to support children and young people in the BH14 area through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision. We're particularly interested in hearing from tutors who can deliver GCSE English, GCSE Maths, or both subjects.

Many of the students we support benefit from a personalised approach that helps build confidence, close learning gaps, and improve engagement with education.

Location: BH14

Subjects: GCSE English and/or GCSE Maths

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months' experience delivering tuition or teaching within an educational setting
• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE English and/or GCSE Maths
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
• Strong subject knowledge within your specialist area
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
