Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient GCSE EOTAS Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support to a secondary student in Frome, Somerset, who is receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS).

You will adapt your teaching to the learner’s needs, support GCSE content and exam preparation, and build confidence to help the learner engage with education more effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged learners with SEND/SEMH.
• Confident delivering GCSE tuition in a tailored, one-to-one format.
• Experience providing personalised educational support and adapting teaching styles.
• Understanding of EOTAS or non-mainstream provision.
• Ability to adapt plans to individual learner needs.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, one-to-one GCSE tuition as part of an EOTAS provision.
• Support GCSE curriculum content, revision and exam preparation as needed.
• Identify gaps in knowledge and design targeted activities.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to learner’s abilities and interests.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to parents/carers and professionals.
• Maintain records, confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
