Quantum Scholars are looking for a patient, supportive and experienced EOTAS Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support to a young person in Leominster.

The successful tutor will have experience supporting young people who are unable to access mainstream education and be confident adapting their teaching style, pace and resources to meet individual needs. Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners would be highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Experience supporting learners outside mainstream education.
• Experience providing one-to-one tuition or personalised educational support.
• Experience working within an EOTAS, Alternative Provision, school or similar educational setting.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods, resources and pace according to individual needs.
• Experience supporting learners who may be reluctant, anxious or disengaged from education.

Responsabilités

• Providing personalised one-to-one educational support to a young person accessing EOTAS.
• Supporting the learner across a range of subjects according to their individual needs and the tutor's subject specialisms.
• Supporting English, Maths, Science and other areas of the curriculum where appropriate.
• Adapting lessons, resources, activities and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
• Identifying gaps in learning and providing targeted academic support.
• Creating a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
