Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient and experienced Secondary EOTAS Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support to young people in Hereford. The role is in-person, focused on re-engagement with education, and involves supporting learners with diverse needs across the secondary curriculum.

The successful candidate will adapt teaching to individual needs, build supportive relationships, and work with parents and schools to monitor progress and promote confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged learners in education.
• Experience with EOTAS/Alternative Provision/SEND/SEMH is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual academic, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one educational support to secondary-aged learners accessing EOTAS.
• Support learners who may be unable to access mainstream education.
• Deliver academic tuition according to learner age, ability and needs.
• Support English, Maths, Science or other subjects based on your specialism.
• Adapt lessons, resources and teaching approaches for individual needs.
• Identify gaps in learning and provide targeted support.
• Create a calm, structured learning environment.
• Help learners rebuild confidence and develop positive attitudes towards education.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with parents/carers, schools and professionals.
