Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient EOTAS Tutor in Minehead to deliver personalised one-to-one educational support for a secondary learner with EOTAS needs.

The role requires adapting teaching styles to meet learning needs, creating a calm, structured environment, and supporting GCSE preparation where relevant. In-person, with safeguarding as a priority and strong communication with carers and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged learners.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Experience providing one-to-one or personalised educational support.
• Experience supporting learners who have barriers to mainstream education.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one tuition to a secondary-aged learner accessing EOTAS provision.
• Support the learner's academic and educational development across relevant subjects.
• Identify gaps in knowledge and provide targeted support.
• Adapt teaching methods, resources and pace to suit individual learning needs.
• Break down complex concepts into manageable steps.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to learners and carers.
