Job summary
TeacherActive Ltd in Warwick is seeking a GCSE English Language Teacher to join a specialist 14–16 education provision. You will deliver GCSE English Language, develop learners’ literacy and communication skills, and tailor teaching to support SEND/SEMH needs.
The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week (25 teaching hours within a 39-week year). Experience with GCSE specs (AQA/Edexcel/Eduqas), strong literacy knowledge, and robust behaviour management are essential.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching GCSE English Language with AQA, Edexcel or Eduqas specifications.
- Strong knowledge of reading comprehension, language analysis and creative/transactional writing.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or EAL needs.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to differentiate lessons, assess progress and improve GCSE outcomes.
- Patient, resilient and enthusiastic approach.
