Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for a specialist 14-16 education provision in Warwick. You will deliver GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, support students with SEND and SEMH, and contribute to curriculum development.

The role is permanent and full-time, 37 hours per week (25 hours teaching during the 39-week year), on-site in Warwick. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of teaching and classroom behaviour while inspiring learners toward their future

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or PGCE with a degree in a relevant subject.
• Experience teaching GCSE Science with knowledge of the National Curriculum and exam specs (AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas).
• Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or EAL needs.
• Strong classroom management and ability to adapt teaching strategies to learners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, and ability to build relationships with parents and colleagues.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic with a passion for student development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Support SEND and SEMH needs and monitor student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development and monitor teaching standards.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour.
