Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Warwick is seeking a GCSE English Language Teacher to join a specialist 14–16 education provision. You will deliver GCSE English Language, develop learners’ literacy and communication skills, and tailor teaching to support SEND/SEMH needs.

The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week (25 teaching hours within a 39-week year). Experience with GCSE specs (AQA/Edexcel/Eduqas), strong literacy knowledge, and robust behaviour management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching GCSE English Language with AQA, Edexcel or Eduqas specifications.
• Strong knowledge of reading comprehension, language analysis and creative/transactional writing.
• Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or EAL needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Are you an experienced English Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to deliver GCSE English Language in a specialist education setting?

Do you have experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs?

Are you confident delivering engaging lessons that improve student achievement and GCSE outcomes?

TeacherActive is working with a specialist 14–16 education provision in Warwick to recruit a dedicated GCSE English Language Teacher. This inclusive setting combines core GCSE subjects with vocational pathways in Engineering and Motor Vehicle, helping students develop essential skills and prepare for their future.

The successful candidate will deliver GCSE English Language, develop students' literacy and communication skills, and adapt teaching to support learners with SEND and SEMH needs.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week, including 25 teaching hours during the 39-week teaching year.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience teaching GCSE English Language, including AQA, Edexcel or Eduqas specifications.
