Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our Balaena Tyne site in Newcastle. You will maintain a visible security presence, conduct patrols, monitor activity, and manage access control while delivering a professional and approachable service to employees, contractors and visitors.

The role requires a valid frontline SIA licence, 5-year employment history and strong communication skills in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
• Experience in security operations and incident response.
• Frontline SIA licence required and valid.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services and patrols to protect people and property.
• Manage gatehouse operations and sign in/out visitors and contractors.
• Control access and egress, verify IDs and ensure authorization.
• Record observations and incidents with accurate reporting.
• Respond promptly to incidents in line with procedures and escalate as needed.
• Deliver professional, customer-friendly service to staff and visitors.
