Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Scunthorpe is seeking a Gatehouse Officer to manage access, visitor handling and weighbridge duties on a 4 on 4 off shift. The role focuses on security, calm response under pressure and accurate record-keeping, with training during probation.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors, monitor the gatehouse, address enquiries and uphold health and safety standards while working a rotating day/night schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the gatehouse, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Be a first point of contact for visitors to the site
• Manage the weighbridge, recording weights and information
• Conduct patrols to ensure site security and address breaches
• Answer telephone calls and redirect enquiries
• Conduct staff searches when necessary
• Escort staff off site when requested by Manager
• Report incidents or irregularities promptly to authorities
• Ensure site and Health and Safety rules are followed

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, you will get to prioritise work-life balance (working less than 6 months of the year) whilst building a meaningful career that you can be proud of. Job Description

Main Responsibilities

As a Gatehouse Officer you will:

• Operate and monitor the gatehouse, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Be a first point of contact for visitors to the site
• Manage the weighbridge, accurately recording the weights of the vehicles and any other necessary information
• Conduct patrols to ensure the site is secure; appropriately addressing any security breaches
• Professionally answer any telephone calls to the site, providing assistance and redirecting enquires when required
• Conduct staff searches when necessary
• Escort staff off site when requested by their Manager
• Report any incidents, breaches or irregularities promptly to the appropriate authorities
• Ensure site/Health and Safety rules
