Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Gatehouse and Despatch Clerk for our Sherburn site on a full-time basis. The role ingates and out gates vehicles, ensuring timely, secure loads and accurate paperwork, with duties across inbound/outbound operations.

Salary is £25,740 per annum, with 2pm-10pm shifts, five days in seven. Required are attention to detail, good PC skills, teamwork, and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to organise & prioritise their workload.
• Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
• Good PC skills and Knowledge of MS packages is essential.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving skills and tenacity.

Responsibilities

• Ingate and out gate vehicles on site in a timely and secure manner.
• Receipting and despatching loads to support shift efficiency.
• Dealing with drivers at inbound and outbound gates.
• Liaise with Operations Controllers to allocate bays for vehicles.
• Check and seal vehicles with correct paperwork.
• Complete inbound and outbound paperwork accurately.
• Book deliveries into allocated slots using the inbound schedule.
• Support security checks on site and use CCTV as required.
