Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Gastro Cancer Pathway Navigator to act as the central point of contact for patients on the gastro cancer pathway. You will support coordinated, timely and patient-centred care throughout the diagnostic journey, working with multidisciplinary teams to resolve barriers to care and escalate issues affecting diagnosis or treatment.

You will monitor cancer pathway progress, manage pathway tracking systems, and help ensure adherence to Cancer

Qualifications

Administrative and organisational experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Support coordination of gastroenterology and endoscopy cancer pathways to ensure timely progress through referrals, diagnostics and treatment.
Collaborate with Endoscopy Unit teams, booking offices, diagnostic services and clinical teams to maximise endoscopy capacity and enable urgent investigations.
Monitor patients awaiting endoscopic procedures and escalate delays, capacity constraints or pathway risks.
Validate and maintain gastroenterology and endoscopy pathway tracking systems for performance monitoring.
Facilitate timely booking of diagnostic tests, endoscopic procedures and follow-ups to support patient flow.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives to improve pathway efficiency and patient experience.
