Job summary

Why Liberty is seeking a Gas Supervisor or a Gas Engineer stepping into management to lead high‑performing teams across the North West. You will oversee gas installs, gas maintenance and repairs, voids, and planned maintenance while driving KPI delivery and contract performance.

You will manage from the office with some on‑site support, maintain strong safety standards, and support ongoing professional development in a diverse, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ACS qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT are essential.
• Experience leading technical or multi-trade teams in repairs/maintenance or social housing.
• Strong health and safety, compliance, and contract delivery knowledge.
• Gas industry background with regulatory understanding.

Responsibilities

• Enable delivery of growth by managing contract requirements for gas installs, maintenance and repairs, void tasks, and planned maintenance.
• Meet client and business KPI's and drive performance.
• Lead a team of engineers, with some on-site support, and deliver works to spec.
• Deputise for line management and conduct toolbox talks.
• Oversee stock, PPE, uniforms, audits, and procurement compliance.
• Apply escalation protocol and support field and back-office end-to-end processes.

Your Role:

• Enable the delivery of future growth strategy by managing contract requirements for a range of jobs including gas installs, gas maintenance and repairs, complete void tasks, complete responsive repairs and complete planned maintenance
• Meet client and business KPI's
• Work predominantly in the office managing a team of engineers, with some onsite work required supporting a range of work.
• Delivery of works
• Deputise for line management
• Complete regular asset, van stock, PPE, Uniform and vehicle inspections including audits
• Managing a team of engineers and multi skilled operatives, completing regular toolbox talks
• Strong knowledge of contract parameters and implications
• Strong knowledge of company procurement processes
• Adopt and apply the company escalation protocol
• Support in the field and back office with end-to-end processes

What We Need from You.

• ACS qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
• Experience managing technical or multi-trade teams in a repairs/maintenance or social housing setting
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance, and commercial contract delivery
• A gas background with technical knowledge of the gas industry, including relevant legislation, standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Confident using IT systems
• SMSTS or IOSH (desirable)
• Full UK driving license
• A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach
