Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated re-imaging signage technician who will be a versatile specialist responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of signs, both traditional and digital for gas station/convenience store customers. A strong candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who can handle all aspects of a project, from reading diagrams to troubleshooting electrical issues.

The role is physically demanding and requires a diverse set of skills, including, electrical, construction and painting, along with a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities
  • Signage installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and replace all exterior and interior (if applicable) including large pylon signs, canopy facia, pump-top signs, and window decals.
  • Branding updates: Rework a station’s visual presence to reflect a new brand by removing old logos and colors and applying new brand-specific materials, such as acrylic and oil based paints.
  • Canopy and facade work: Install and service canopy signage and LED lighting. Perform tasks at heights using a boom or bucket truck and/or scissor lift.
  • Electrical work: Perform low-voltage electrical work, including wiring, connecting power sources to lighted signs, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Site preparation and cleanup: Prepare the work area by removing old materials and laying down protective coverings, conduct job site cleanup upon completion.
  • Problem-solving: Troubleshoot and diagnose on-site issues with lighting, wiring, or other rebranding elements. Adapt to unforeseen challenges that arise during the re-imaging process.
  • Documentation: Complete work orders and site reporting detailing the materials used and work performed.
  • Mentorship: Learn and train junior technicians or crew members, emphasizing correct techniques and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • *High School Diploma or GED Required
  • *Must be 18 years of age or older
  • *Maintain a clean driving record and pass a DOT medical exam
  • *Maintain parts and inventory control, appearance and maintenance of company trucks
  • *Complete necessary invoicing and administrative duties
  • *Submit to random drug testing
  • *Monday through Friday work schedule
  • *8:00am to 5:00pm with a minimum half hour for lunch
  • *Overtime may be required
