Job summary

Plymouth Community Homes is seeking a Gas Servicing & Breakdown Engineer for a 3-6 month fixed term opportunity in Plymouth. You will perform gas safety inspections, servicing, fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs, with a rotating out-of-hours shift.

A company van is provided and you will be supported to deliver high-quality workmanship. The role requires ACS qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) or recognised equivalents, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety and

Qualifications

• Current ACS qualifications including CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 or recognised equivalent.
• Proven experience in gas servicing, breakdown or maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good working knowledge of gas safety legislation and Health & Safety requirements.
• Experience using handheld electronic devices or mobile technology (desirable).
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Full UK driving licence; company van provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic landlord gas safety inspections and servicing.
• Diagnose and repair gas and heating system faults.
• Conduct inspections and identify corrective works.
• Complete relevant certification and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all work adheres to current gas regulations.
• Provide a high-quality customer experience during visits.
• Collaborate with colleagues while managing own workload.
