Job summary

Plymouth Community Homes is seeking a Gas Servicing & Breakdown Engineer to service, inspect, diagnose and repair gas/ heating systems across our homes. The role includes casual evening and weekend on-call shifts as part of a rotating out-of-hours service.

You should have proven gas servicing/breakdown experience, strong fault-finding skills, and a valid UK driving licence. Join a supportive team focused on safe, well‑maintained homes and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in gas servicing, breakdown or maintenance roles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good working knowledge of gas safety legislation and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out domestic landlord gas safety inspections and servicing.
• Diagnosing and repairing gas and heating system faults.
• Conducting inspections and identifying corrective works.
• Completing all relevant certification and compliance documentation.
• Ensuring all work is undertaken safely and in line with current gas regulations.
• Providing an excellent customer experience during every visit.
