Job summary

Interaction Engineering is seeking a skilled Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to service and maintain domestic heating systems across the area. You will perform gas safety inspections, diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The role offers a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000 per year), a 40‑hour week (Mon-Fri) and no call‑out rota, with opportunities for training and career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic gas servicing and boiler breakdowns.
• Current Gas Safe registration with domestic gas qualifications.
• ACS qualifications relevant to the work (e.g., CCN1).
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills for boiler/heating faults.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out annual gas safety checks and servicing of domestic boilers and heating systems.
• Diagnose faults, identify components failures and repair boilers/heating systems.
• Undertake reactive maintenance and breakdown visits to restore heating and hot water.
• Inspect, test and maintain gas appliances, controls, pipework and related components.
• Ensure compliance with Gas Safety regulations and health and safety requirements.
