Job summary

Example Recruitment Group is recruiting a permanent Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join a social housing contract. You will diagnose faults, service boilers and carry out breakdowns across tenanted properties, delivering safe, compliant repairs with customer satisfaction.

Working 40 hours per week with on-call rotas and overtime opportunities; a company van and tools are provided to support excellent service delivery and career progression within a reputable organisation.

Qualifications

• Domestic ACS qualification is essential.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Social housing experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fault-find on domestic boilers and heating systems.
• Complete breakdowns, repairs and servicing including LGSRs.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer

Location: TN, BN Postcode Area

Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 basic + Overtime & Call-Out

Example Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a permanent Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join a highly respected and long-standing social housing contract. The Role

You’ll be carrying out a range of gas-related works within social housing and local authority properties, including:

• Diagnosing and fault-finding on domestic boilers and heating systems
• Completing breakdown jobs, repairs, servicing, and LGSRs
• Ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction

Hours & On-Call

• Standard Hours: 40 hours per week (8am – 5pm)
• On-Call Rota: 1 in 4
  • Standby Allowance: Mon–Fri £20 / Sat & Sun £30
  • Call-Outs: £25 per job attended
  • Overtime: £25 per job after 5:30pm
