Job summary

SGN is recruiting for a frontline role focused on identifying gas leaks and keeping customers safe. You will interact with members of the public, communicate clearly, and apply your gas service knowledge to resolve issues promptly.

This position includes a 24/7 rota with standby and overtime, and requires a full UK driving licence. As we move toward a net-zero energy system, SGN offers development opportunities and a supportive team environment while delivering safe, reliable gas services across

Qualifications

• ACS qualification (CCN1 or CESPI) required.
• MET1–4 preferred but not essential.
• Full UK manual driving licence essential.
• Willingness to work 24/7 rota with out-of-hours hours.
• Strong customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify gas leaks in homes, businesses and outside to keep people safe.
• Engage with customers across our network with confidence and knowledge.
• Resolve customer situations for a 10/10 service experience.
• Problem solve complex gas issues to keep people and property safe.
• Attend assigned gas escapes within regulated deadlines.
• Maintain van, equipment and PPE to ensure safety.
• Support essential works to keep gas supply running 24/7 with standby/overtime.
