Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Lead Gas Engineer in Kettering to join our Emergency Response Team. You’ll respond to gas-related incidents at customers’ homes, install and maintain gas meters, and perform safety surveys. A full UK driving licence is essential, and a rotating 40-hour week including weekends is expected.

The role requires CCN1/CMA1 qualifications (MET1 beneficial) and strong communication under pressure to keep customers and the public safe.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas systems, regulations and safety protocols.
• CCN1 or CMA1 qualifications required to apply; MET1 beneficial.
• Full valid driver’s licence required.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Install, replace and maintain gas meters for homes and businesses.
• Conduct gas safety surveys and fit cooker safety valves.
• Coordinate with emergency services when needed, showing empathy.
