Job summary

Axis CLC Group is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to deliver servicing, breakdowns and repairs across our housing maintenance programmes. You will work in occupied homes and void properties, balancing safety, quality and resident comfort in every job.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer within repairs, maintenance, or voids environments.
• CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (G3 and LPG/Oil/ASHP desirable) required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, able to work sensitively in occupied homes.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage time effectively.
• Confident using handheld devices (PDA) for job management and reporting.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (we will accept minor motoring convictions).

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and reactive gas repair works, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
• Maintain a high first-time fix rate, ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met.
• Complete gas safety checks and compliance inspections in line with current regulations.
• Support void property works, ensuring all gas systems are safe, compliant, and ready for re-let.
• Carry out remedial works and system upgrades where required to maintain service standards.
• Accurately complete PDA/job documentation, ensuring all works are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
