Job summary

Axis CLC is hiring a Gas Engineer to deliver servicing, breakdowns and repairs across our housing maintenance programmes. You will work across multiple properties, ensuring gas safety, compliance and high-quality workmanship.

The role offers field autonomy, ongoing training and progression opportunities. A valid UK gas qualifications set and a clean driving licence are required to operate across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer in repairs, maintenance or voids.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, able to work in occupied homes.
• Confident using handheld devices (PDA) for job management and reporting.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (we will accept minor motoring convictions).

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and reactive gas repair works, diagnosing and resolving faults.
• Maintain a high first-time fix rate, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Complete gas safety checks and compliance inspections per regulations.
• Support void property works to ensure gas systems are safe and ready for re-let.
• Carry out remedial works and system upgrades to maintain service standards.
• Accurately complete PDA/job documentation and records.
