Job summary

Sureserve Group is seeking a Domestic Gas Engineer to service heating and hot water systems across our regional area, diagnosing faults, performing repairs and planned maintenance with a strong focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

You must hold UK gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1), a valid driving licence, and proven domestic gas maintenance experience. The role is 40 hours per week with on-call requirements and a September 2026 start date.

• Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 essential).
• Valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Previous practical experience in domestic gas maintenance.
• Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Professional and friendly attitude with the ability to build relationships with clients and tenants.

Responsibilities

• Communicate updates and progress of work, complete paperwork electronically and manually.

Salary: £42,000- £48,000 per annum

Location: Coversall PL and occasionally EX23 and TR areas

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40

Working pattern: Monday to Friday with on-call requirements

Holiday entitlement: 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)

Planned start date: 1st September 2026

About the role

Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
